This is a phenomenon that can occur even in the best hands because the molecular properties of the tissues are not altered by surgery. Breast lift is a transformative operation in restoring body confidence. I find it irresponsible when doctors describe a “magic” intervention/ treatment/ procedure as a way to cure a chronic and complex long-term condition such as pitted acne scarring. (Guys, there is no laser that is miraculously going to solve all your problems in one go!) Not only is this grossly misleading to patients, but it creates a false idea that medicine ⚗️⚗️⚗️ is magic 🔮🔮🔮, which unfortunately is very much not the case. This lovely patient has pitted acne scarring from adolescent acne, and I am helping her with a combination of medical grade skin care, microneedling with PRP, skin resurfacing, and subcision with filler (shown here).
