Repairing the abdominal wall 👙👙👙 In my practice, an abdominoplasty (or tummy tuck) is not just about removing extra skin and fat. It is about tightening the muscles of the abdominal wall as well. Rectus diastasis (separation of the six-pack muscles of the abs) happens in most women who get pregnant. The only way to bring the muscles back together is to surgically repair them. I do this with a proprietary method of corset-type stitches. Conservative lip augmentation 💎💎💎 As I commented in my previous post, I do not feel it is my role to legislate tastes and preferences for my patients, as long as their desires are safe and medically responsible. Beauty has many forms, and each one of us has our own sense of ideal. This lovely patient wanted a very subtle result to soften wrinkles and combat volume loss. Of note, it took 2 syringes to obtain even this extremely subtle result. There are the equivalent of 5 syringes in a teaspoon, so sometimes a patient needs more volume than she originally thinks. 💎💎💎 .
