This is a realistic progression of what you can expect before, on the day of, and on the day after submental liposuction— as seen in my lovely patient who flew from Saudi Arabia ✈️✈️✈️ to see me. (She also had some fillers to improve her chin and soft tissues.) π This is for the haters who are harping on lidocaine infiltration. My results speak for themselves. I spend my time taking care of patients and performing surgery, not taking photos. Consistency and completeness are key, but there will always be inadequacies in photo quality and photos that the team forgets to take. I strive for improvement and perfection for myself and my staff members, yet imperfections in photos do not negate excellent surgical results. π This is not the first time that an older male surgeon has bullied and undercut a woman who threatens him. And unfortunately it won’t be the last. But it’s 2018 and #TIMESUP. Cyberbullying, harassment, libel, slander, and intimidation have no place in a professional environment— or really any environment at all. π For many years when I was coming of age as a pre-med, med student, resident, and junior attending, I felt that there was nothing I could do about this oppressive, destructive “boys’ club” behavior besides to grin and bear it. But I am an accomplished adult woman, I have a voice, and I will use it to defend myself and others who do good work. Do not assume the worst of people. Do not tear down others. Do not be intimidated by success around you— be motivated by it. Put yourself into the world in a positive way instead of trying to destroy powerful women around you. Do not report my account, flag my posts, steal my images, defame me, send me sexual and violent messages, impersonate me, harass me, or troll me from behind the veil of the internet. Put your efforts into your relationships, hobbies, and work. If you have a concern, pick up the phone like a professional colleague and speak to me. π To the girls and young women out there, be strong and stay positive. Don’t let mean people get you down. Just be good, do good, and fight the good fight. π #timesupcyberbullies

This beautiful bride π°π»π°π»π°π»wanted to look her best for her wedding day with smoother skin, slightly fuller lips, and a softening of the dynamic depression of her right cheek. Her cheek depression was challenging to correct because it was important for it to be improved while smiling but not lumpy while in repose. We were both very happy with this result. For brides or others with an important occasion approaching, I advise planning your interventions like Botox and fillers at least 3 weeks beforehand so you look and feel perfect for your big day. π°π»π°π»π°π» .

Tear trough augmentation with my sandwich technique π₯ͺπ₯ͺπ₯ͺ has brightened the face and eyes of this gorgeous patient. Her dark circles are less apparent, her lid-cheek junction is smoother, and she looks like she has gotten a lot of sleep π€ π. #devgansandwich .
