Perfecting the gold standard of nonsurgical buttock augmentation 💉💉💉 This is a demonstration of my technique for injection of poly-L-lactic acid for enhancing the shape, contour, projection, and size of the buttocks and hips. A subtle result can smooth out cellulite dimples and give a pretty softness to the buttocks. A more dramatic result can round out the “hip dips” and give a more perky, apple shape to the hips and buttocks. 💉💉💉 There are many ways to push fluid out of a syringe, but if you are considering this procedure, please consider these key 🔑 points. 1️⃣ Make sure your provider wears gloves when touching your body for the sake of universal precautions, professionalism, and infection prevention. I cringe at all the gloveless videos I see on the internet. 2️⃣ See someone who will take the time to measure and mark your unique anatomic features. We can all “eyeball” what looks good, but measurement and marking are the most precise way to note variance in symmetry, gluteal fold placement, and projection. 3️⃣ Understand that Sculptra is a long-term, expensive commitment that may require anywhere between 4 and 100 vials over the course of months to years, depending on your goals. 4️⃣ Over time I have found that standing injection is the most precise way for me to create a beautiful result, if this is possible for the patient. 5️⃣ Do not accept injection with silicone. Sculptra (poly-L-lactic acid) is a safe collagen bio-stimulator and is currently my only recommendation for this area. 6️⃣ Shop for quality, not price. Beware of low “per vial” cost, as a keen aesthetic eye and an excellent understanding of the blood and nerve supply of the buttocks is needed to do this procedure safely.
