What would Virginia Woolf do? Would she get botox? 💉💉💉 I loved having the opportunity to meet and treat @ninalorezcollins, writer and founder of The Woolfers @wwvwd, a community of thoughtful feminist women who, to me, embody the concept of modern beauty. The notion that smart women don’t care about “frivolous” things like plastic surgery needlessly dichotomizes two aspects of identity that can absolutely coexist. And furthermore, it is far more feminist to let other people make their own choices than it is to shame each other for personal decisions like this. 💉💉💉 It’s not everyday that Virginia Woolf and injectables overlap, so this was a fun moment for me as an English major turned plastic surgeon. 💉💉💉 What do modern beauty and modern feminism mean to you? .

1 week after submental liposuction. This beautiful patient wanted to improve her neck contour but didn’t have the downtime to undergo a necklift. Still, using a scuffing tissue-tightening technique, I was able to help her achieve this nice improvement in neck contour. She has moderate bruising and swelling, and this result will continue to improve over time. In the future we will plan a necklift. 💎💎💎 .
